Press Release: MURIC Elects Officers In State Branches 11th December 2007
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) is currently conducting the election of its officers nationwide. In some of the states in where the exercise took place, the Islamic human rights organization has successfully picked dedicated, rational and fearless members into its state executive committees.
In Abia, Sulaiman Ukandu emerged as State Coordinator. In Anambra, Delta and Ebonyi states, Isa Okonkwo, Isiaka Ojei and Aliyu Enya Okoche won the leadership positions. Shefiu Ayorinde, Muhammad Awwal and Yunus Salahudeen will be coordinating Lagos, Kaduna and Abuja respectively. Umar Okilagwe was the choice in Edo State.
MURIC director, Dr. Is-haq Akintola, charged the new officers to be diligent, Allah-fearing and humane. He urged them to work tirelessly towards the successful hosting of MURIC national congress whose date will soon be announced.
